National Harbor

National Harbor is a mixed-used development located along the banks of the Potomac River, across from Alexandria and outside I-495. Construction began in the late 1990s and was complete in 2008.

Quality of Life:

National Harbor plays out like a compilation album of some of the most well known corporate restaurant and retail chains in America. It is home to a number of hotels including the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center. The National Harbor community also boasts an array of commercial space, a marina and waterfront condos. Getting Around:

There are a number of ways to get to and around National Harbor. Water Taxi service runs to and from Alexandria. Metrorail does not run directly to the Harbor, however visitors and residents can pick up the shuttle that runs from the Branch Avenue Metro station (Green Line). There is direct road access from I-295, I-495 and Oxon Hill Road.
